The Way He Rode
He was at his most himself on a bike. It didn't matter the weather or the route — once he was moving, something in him settled. He talked about cycling the way some people talk about prayer.
I think about that a lot. The way a person can find something that makes them feel completely like themselves, and how lucky we were to watch him have that.
